Solarius Development was established in 2000 and is located in San Jose, at the heart of Silicon Valley in California. The company provides specialized optical metrology equipment to meet the fundamental quality requirements of the surrounding technology firms. From the early 21st century to the present, Solarius has achieved tremendous success in tandem with the astonishing growth of technology and companies in Silicon Valley.
Due to the fact that the majority of consumer electronics and semiconductor components (as is the case now) are manufactured in the Asian region, the demand for support and services of large-scale production optical metrology systems led to the creation of Solarius Hong Kong in 2013, and subsequently, Solarius Trading Shanghai Ltd. in 2015. Following emerging markets and customer manufacturing bases, Solarius India Limited was established in 2016.
In 2017, Solarius GmbH, the European branch, was founded in Munich, Germany, immediately followed by the Solarius Technology Center in Essen, contributing Solarius's metrology expertise to the robust and technology-driven European market.
